Yeah its the only way you can unlock skills for your level 20 non RP player. And if you start at level 20 you cant access any of the PVE content of the game, wich i belive is the best aspect of the game.

They won't be raising the cap. Ever.
Currently, it will probably take around a week to get to level 20. In two Beta Weekends, I got to level 15, but that's about 90 hours of gameplay. I believe it took 2-3 BWE to get from 15 to 20 when the previews first started. But for many of those weekends, I had minimal sleep.

Haha.. you have no idea how many times i get asked this..
You can just completely rush through the game and get to level 20 in about 4 days. This is with some pratice of course. Or you can really enjoy yourself and do all the quests and secondary missions, and it'll take much much longer. A week? two weeks? 4 days? Its really up to you, you can spend as much time as you want, theres tons of content. Actually this will probably be allot longer now that they added tons of new missions and stuff for release I just cant wait! Weve only been able to see like 13 of the 25 missions.

Hey.
There are few topics you might be interested to check in the Q&A section of this board, notably Aladdar's FAQ.
Cheers.

Its not about item hunting ether. Its about your skill in how you handel your char. The game has alot of Diabloish game play, but at the same time this game is nothing like Diablo.

I'm just trying to figure out what you do when you don't feel like PvPing. Are items a big part of the game or is it just about 100% PvP?

There is sooooooooooooo much to do from the PvE stand point that is almost too much (almost )
PvP is considered by most to be the "end-game".

But if you cap at lvl 20, what's the motication to continue with the PvE. Once again, I'm saying anything negative, I just want a better understanding about what I am paying for.

So some skills are only found out in the world and there is a bit of focus on farming items?

I DO NOT PVP PERIOD
having said that there is a ton of stuff for me
there are 25 missions (non pvp) to start
there are 60-70 explorable areas (non pvp, not small) to start with additional content to be added by streaming in
fron GW
Guild Wars, in contrast, is based around your skill as a player. Our maximum level is twenty and you hit that very quickly, after about 20-30 hours of play. ,We call that 'The Point of Ascension'. Almost all of the content in the game and in the future Chapters is only available to Ascended characters, which means we don't have to worry about providing different levels of content. All the good stuff will be available to everyone. It's not our intent to force people onto the levelling up treadmill, so the level cap in Guild Wars is almost meaningless.

You can farm if you want, but i found there really is no need. I found all that I needed by doing the insain amount of quests this game has.
EDIT: Note that quests are different than Missions

Oh, and lastly, heres an additional bit of good news about skills: The majority of skills will be available as quest rewards. This does not mean to say that they will be available only as such a reward, of course; you will still be able to get skills in other ways. But if you go on a quest, you may receive a skill as your reward.

But isn't leveling and item hunting a lot of what keeps people involved? I personally dont like hoping in game just to sit around and chat. At the same time I don't always like to farm and I also dont alwyas like to PvP. But all of that combined is what keeps people around correct.
I really appritiate all the responses.
